What does true inclusivity in the visual effects industry look like? ACCESS:VFX, a nonprofit backed by over 70 studios and educational institutions, aims to tackle this very question by promoting diversity through mentorship and education. With over 4,000 participants involved, their initiative focuses on four key areas: inspiration, education, mentorship, and recruitment. Yet, while the numbers are impressive, we must ask ourselves: is this enough? As we strive for a more equitable industry, it’s essential to reflect on the effectiveness of these programs.
