U4GM Pokemon TCG Pocket Booster Pack Odds Guide

There's a funny moment in Pokémon TCG Pocket when you stop opening packs for fun and start opening them with one card in mind. Maybe it's a Pokémon ex you need for a deck, or maybe it's a full-art card you saw someone show off online. Either way, knowing the rarity system helps. Some players even compare collections or browse Pokemon TCG Pocket Accounts to see what a stronger start can look like, but most of the grind still comes down to understanding what each pack can actually give you.

How the rarity marks really work

The diamond cards are the everyday backbone of the game. One-diamond and two-diamond cards show up all the time, so you'll stack plenty of them without trying. Three-diamond cards are the regular rares, the sort you notice but don't lose your mind over. Four-diamond cards are a bigger deal, since that's where many Pokémon ex cards sit. Then come the star rarities. One-star, two-star, and three-star cards are where collectors start paying attention, because they usually bring the alternate art, full-art looks, and those flashy cards people love posting after a lucky pull.

Why the last two slots matter

Every normal booster pack gives you five cards, but the first three aren't where the drama happens. Those slots are locked into basic one-diamond cards, so don't expect a miracle there. The fourth and fifth cards carry the real odds. The fourth slot can hit something rare, but the chance is tiny. A Crown Rare there sits around 0.04%, which is rough. The fifth slot is kinder. Not generous, exactly, but better. A Crown Rare rises to about 0.16%, and a one-star Art Rare can jump from roughly 2.5% in the fourth slot to more than 10% in the fifth.

The God Pack dream

Then there's the pack everyone talks about like it's an urban legend. The God Pack. It has a 0.05% chance to appear, so you're looking at about one in 2,000 packs. That explains why most players only know it from screenshots. If you do land one, though, the whole pack changes. All five cards are at least one-star rarity, and each slot has a 5% shot at being a Crown Rare. It's wild. It's also not something you should plan around, unless you enjoy being disappointed most mornings.

Smarter ways to chase missing cards

Pack luck is fun, but it's not a plan. If you're building a deck, save your Pack Points instead of spending them the second you can. They let you target a specific card later, which is a lifesaver when one missing piece is holding the whole list back. Wonder Pick is worth checking too. A 20% chance at the card you want isn't amazing, but it's better than opening packs blindly. Some players also look at cheap Pokemon TCG Pocket Accounts when they want a different collection path, though good habits still matter: track what you need, don't chase every shiny card, and spend your resources with a bit of patience.
