Students have to make IGNOU Solved Assignment and write them, so the Word file works as your source and you copy it out by hand. Here is a workable process.

1. Get the right assignment

• Download the current session's assignment question paper for your course code (e.g., MEG-01, BCOM-xx) from the IGNOU website or the eGyanKosh/IGNOU student portal.
• Check the submission deadline, the number of questions to attempt, and any word limits stated for each question.

2. Prepare your Word solution file

• Put each question number and question text at the top of its answer, exactly as in the question paper.
• Aim for about 800 words per long answer, as you said. That is roughly 2 to 3 handwritten A4 pages. If a question carries fewer marks (for example, 5 or 10 marks), 200 to 400 words is enough.
• Structure each answer as:
  • Introduction (2 to 4 lines)
  • Main body with headings and subheadings
  • Conclusion (2 to 3 lines)
• Rewrite in your own words. Don't submit text copied from a shared or sample solution, as this can be treated as plagiarism and rejected.

3. Convert to handwriting

• Use ruled A4 sheets, writing on one side only. Leave a margin on the left and right.
• Write the question number and the full question first, then the answer.
• Use a blue or black pen. Underline headings.
• Number the pages and keep them in question order.

4. Front page
Include your name, enrollment number, course code, course title, assignment code, programme, study centre code, and date. Check the exact format given in the assignment booklet.

5. Submit

• Staple the sheets together with the front page on top, and keep a IGNOU Handwritten Assignment or photos for yourself.
• Submit to your study centre and collect the receipt. Some programmes also allow online submission, so check what applies to yours.

Quick tips

• 800 words is about 4 to 5 handwritten pages if your handwriting is large, so decide on a word count early to avoid running short on pages.
• Add a diagram, table, or example where it fits. It makes the answer look more complete.
