Jio IPO Price Band and Lot Size: How Much Money You Needed
The Jio IPO price band was Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 with a 12-share lot. See what one lot cost and how the numbers work.
The Jio IPO price band and lot size decide how much you must invest to apply.
The numbers
- Price band: Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share.
- Lot size: 12 shares.
- One lot at the lower band: Rs 12,780.
- One lot at the upper band: Rs 13,428.
How to read a price band
A price band is the range within which investors can bid. After the book is built, the final issue price is fixed within that range. Bidding at the cut-off price means you accept whatever final price is set in the band.
Why the lot matters
You can apply only in multiples of the lot. Retail bids are capped by value, so the number of lots you can bid for is limited
Face value versus issue price
The face value is Rs 10 per share. The issue price is far higher because it reflects the company's valuation, not its accounting face value.
Quick maths
Two lots at the upper band would cost about Rs 26,856. A bid is blocked in your account through UPI and released if shares are not allotted.
